AI is not a replacement for the discipline of first-principle estimating or coordinated design; it is a layer that compresses repetitive work, surfaces patterns earlier, and gives our team more time for the judgment calls that actually move a project.

How we use AI responsibly

Every output produced with the help of AI tooling is reviewed and signed off by an Arconex specialist before it leaves our office. We use AI to compress the time spent on repetitive lookups, draft quantity counts, document parsing and pattern recognition — not to remove the human accountability that a construction estimate or design package needs. Client drawings, BOQs and project data are processed in controlled environments and are never used to train public AI models. Where a specific model or pipeline carries higher inherent risk (for example AI-generated cost forecasts), we mark the deliverable clearly and present the underlying assumptions and confidence ranges with the number.

Every deliverable is produced and signed off by a qualified Arconex architect, estimator or production specialist. AI tooling speeds up the supporting work — quantity counts, BIM clash sweeps, document parsing — and our team owns the output that leaves the office.

No. Client files are processed within controlled internal environments and are never used to train public AI models or shared outside the engagement. Confidentiality terms are detailed in our standard Engagement Letter and in any NDA signed at the start of the project.

AI-assisted takeoffs reduce the time required for a first-pass count, but every count is verified against the source drawings by an estimator before the BOQ is issued. We do not issue AI-generated quantities without a human-in-the-loop reconciliation. Final accuracy targets are agreed in the engagement scope.

Yes, on a project-by-project basis. Where a client has an internal data system (e.g., a historical cost library or a BIM coordination workflow), we can scope a tailored AI integration as part of the engagement. The scope, deliverables and data-governance terms are agreed in writing before any integration work begins.
